HOLY MOLY!: Soccer Hack!

Soccer balls are hard to control, especially on a gym floor.

For preschoolers and kindergarteners, this often means they spend more time chasing the ball than actually touching it.

Enter the ROLLY MOLY!

Grab a piece of pool noodle and place two small agility cones on either end so the noodle is slightly lifted off the ground. Just like that, you’ve created a slow-moving object that students can kick using small, controlled taps, without it running away from them.

Need to slow it down even more? Adjust the cones so the noodle sits closer to the floor. Want to make it more challenging? Have students practice changing direction while they kick.

It’s a simple swap that leads to more touches, more control, and a lot less chasing.

Keep on,

Katie
